Letter to the Editor

One year ago God reached down in Hartsville, South Carolina and said it’s time to go home. July 4 to most of us is freedom for our country, but to the Coward family it means freedom from pain. That’s what our Heavenly Father did when he called Dr. Paul Alderman Coward home to Heaven on July 4, 2015 at 9:11 a.m.

It was in the twinkling of your eye! Jacob asked his daddy what was the best thing you did in your life and he said, “Marrying my bride”, raised his hands toward Heaven and He was with the Lord. Beloved husband, daddy, and pediatrician. Forever with the Lord. Now Jacob carries the torch for pediatrics. I, Mary, carry the torch as mother and father. Our children and grandchildren walk in His (Paul and the Lord) ways.

Thank you for loving the Coward family. We are all so blessed to have come to Hartsville, SC. The Coward family: Dr. Paul and Mary Coward; Paul Jr. and Anna Coward; Danny and Patricia Coward; Tommy and Michelle Coward; Jacob and Xochitl Coward.

Grandchildren: Paul Jr.’s children, Trey, James, and Abie Coward; Danny’s children, Abe, Danny, Samuel, Diya, Alex, Veronica, Colya, Shasha, Juliana, and Natasha Coward; Tommy’s children, Kylie and Conner Coward; Philip’s children, Philip Coward; Jacob’s children, Frances, Esther, and Jake Coward. Submitted in love by, Mama Mary Coward
