Hartsville Gymnastics Team takes first place

The Hartsville Gymnastics Team won first place team awards in Xcel Bronze as well as many individual medals in vault, bars, beam, floor and all-around last month at the Capitol City Classic in Columbia.

Xcel Bronze is composed of first year competitive gymnast and won first place as a team at this competition. Cheyenne Younger (9) took first All Around (37.05), first on the floor exercise (9.325), second on vault (9.0), second on bars (9.475), second on beam (9.325). Kylie Quick (10) had second on bars (9.47) and beam (9.4), third on vault (9.05) and third All Around (36.675). Anna Alexander (8) won first on bars (9.475), beam (9.4), floor (8.925) and first All Around (36.5). Macslee McArthur (11) took third place on bars (9.375), beam (9.35), floor (9.0). Jacy Winburn (9) took third on bars (9.25) and floor (8.9). Alyssa Saleeby (6) won first on beam (9.25) and third on floor (8.55). Addison Morrow (6) won third on bars (9.075). Also helping win the Bronze Team Championship title was Virginia Anne Chapman.

Xcel Silver: Stella Grace Allen (11) had first on vault (9.0) and third on bars (9.35). Maddie Smith (9) had first on beam (9.525), third on vault (9.0) and second All Around (36.575). Jenna Cutler (8) had third on beam (8.8). Savannah Pietrazak (9) had second of bars (9.525) and third on beam (9.375)

Xcel Gold: Rachel Creech (9) had second on floor and third on beam. Olivia Moses (9) had first on floor, second on vault and beam, and first All Around. Laney Cross (9) had first on vault, second on bars and All Around. Savannah Culp (16) had first on beam, second on floor, and first All Around. As a team, the Gold’s had second place.

Xcel Platinum: Rachel Johnson(14) took third on vault, beam, bars, and floor. She took third All Around

Level 8: Ashlee Boykin (17) had first on vault, beam, and floor. She had second on bars. She took first All Around

Level 9: Carlee Moore (15) took second on vault, beam, bars, and floor. She had second in the All Around

The Gymnastics Center of Hartsville’s Competitive Team is coached by Ashleigh Richardson, Vicky Moore, Ashleigh Adams, and Sarah Birnbuam.
