Hospice of Chesterfield County now serving Darlington County

on Tuesday, 06 June 2017. Posted in Good life, Local News

Hospice of Chesterfield County, a community-based, non-profit agency, is now licensed to provide care in Darlington County. The organization has provided care to more than 2,500 terminally ill individuals and their families since 1993.

“We are pleased to offer our special kind of care to residents of Darlington County,” Hospice of Chesterfield County Executive Director John Douglas said. “With Darlington County not having a non-profit hospice physically located within its borders, we strongly believe its residents should have increased access to quality non-profit hospice care.”

Hospice of Chesterfield County was founded by local churches and concerned citizens and is blessed with over 200 dedicated volunteers. The agency has been named a 2017 Hospice Honors recipient by Deyta Analytics, a division of HEALTHCAREfirst, the leading provider of Web-based home health and hospice software, outsourced billing and coding services, and advanced analytics.

Hospice Honors is a prestigious program that recognizes hospices providing the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view. For more information or to make a referral, please contact the Hospice of Chesterfield County office at 843-623-9155 or 1-800-572-9322.
