Project eXcape opening in Hartsville

Project eXcape is Hartsville’s first live escape game. Teams or groups of players enter a themed room. The competition is not against each other, it is against the clock. Participants are locked in a room (but not really locked) and have 60 minutes to search, find, decipher and connect the dots of clues to solve a series of puzzles which lead to the means of escape. They must work cooperatively to be successful using logic and reasoning to find the way out. The escape room experience is unique, engaging and fun for families, co-workers or a group of friends.

Live escape games are the hottest new entertainment offering in cities around the world and project eXcape will be Hartsville’s first.

In addition to being an exciting new entertainment option in Hartsville, Project eXcape is a powerful corporate tool. Corporate teams, as well as school and church groups, can enhance team-building skills by working together to successfully escape and competing with other groups to obtain the quickest escape time.

The company will be owned and operated by S & R Adventures, LLC, a joint business venture formed by Wendy Shuler and Gerry (Brit) Robinette. Project eXcape is located at 120 E. Carolina Avenue and will be open Thursday and Friday evenings and all day Saturday starting Friday, February 23. Private parties and business/corporate teams can book other times during the week as available. Players can choose from two different game rooms, “The Lost Jewel of Zanzibar” and “Cypherspace.” Future plans are to add additional game rooms. Cost for each 60-minute game is $25.
