Belk introduces fresh look with remodeled Hartsville location
On September 7th, Belk hosted a grand re-opening celebration at its Hartsville location as part of a $40 million investment in remodels, new stores and capital improvements.
The retailer welcomed Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce President, Quinetta Buterbaugh, and other community leaders for a ribbon cutting and $1,000 check presentation to Carolina’s Kids, a local nonprofit caring and advocating for disadvantaged youth.
More than 100 customers lined up outside the store to receive free gift cards and take part in register-to-win giveaways. Store manager, Raymond Church, was joined by Jaime Valdez, vice president of the Columbia Region, to welcome customers and present the $1,000 donation to Andrea Pulling of Carolina’s Kids.
The renovated store features new carpet and LED lighting, freshly painted walls, and updated fitting rooms and restrooms. Belk has been a fixture in Hartsville for 65 years, opening in its current location in 1989.
The company is investing in new and remodeled stores to deliver a unique and beautiful shopping experience while creating a sense of pride for those in the local community.
