Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center honored their volunteer auxiliary members and chaplains on a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon held April 25.

The Auxiliary installed this year’s officers at the luncheon: President Dianne Ingram; Vice President Sandra Simmons; Treasurer Bob Haarlow; Recording Secretary Gail Terry; Corresponding Secretary Nancy Cramer; Historian Doris Winburn and Past President, Diane Ingram.

The Auxiliary members and chaplains volunteer their time and talents to the patients and staff at the hospital in various departments and reception areas of the hospital and The Medical Group medical office building. Proceeds from the Auxiliary Hospital Gift Shop, Carolina Gifts, are used to donate several scholarships to local students and to purchase items for the hospital. Past projects funded by the Auxiliary included a power assist door for the Carolina Pines Physical Therapy room, and wheelchairs to use in the admissions and reception areas. “The role of the auxiliary and the chaplains is very important to our facility, and we are very thankful to each volunteer.” said Bill Little, CEO of Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center.
